KOHLER LuxStone was selling curated shower kits to customers in 2020. While customers couldn’t purchase these kits online, we marketed different shower options within design styles to entice homeowners to make their dream shower their own.

To further excite them and keep them engaged online before reaching out to a sales rep, we developed the idea for a shower design style quiz that took into account user’s interests, home style and travels. We sent a series of emails to continue nurturing quiz takers to explore this larger purchase.

The quiz was a much larger hit than we expected. While we meant to nurture homeowners, the tool also became a strong lead generator helping homeowners convert.

The full experience was awarded Gold in Digital Content: User Experience by the Davey Awards and also inspired a similar experience for another one of TriMark’s home service clients.

I designed the full website experience but also took initiative to craft a design forward experience on the shower designs page below. Myself and an associate creative director crafted the design style names based on interior design trends and the set photography for each curated shower.

Set Production

Kohler took all of their photos in house and art directed for each design style and room setup to showcase the different shower and product offerings. Because TriMark was marketing this product across many channels (owned website, social channels, email, display), I was able to collaborate with their creative team to make sure the set designs had enough contrast to stand out on the channels in the planning process. We also advised them on talent and shots to capture given our data and insights we collected from audience interaction on the website and social channels.

I was able to visit for a photoshoot in person in June 2022 and be on set to help direct the talent with one of Kohler’s art directors.
